SI scholarships to 57 non-EU/EEA students

This week, the Swedish Institute awarded scholarships to 57 international students (outsdie of the EU/EEA) for master's studies at Umeå University. A total of 700 master's students received scholarhips for studies in Sweden for the 2014/2015 academic year. The scholarships cover tuition fees and living costs.

Swedish Institute (SI) provides annual scholarships to students that are citizens of countries from outside the EU/EEA who wish to study at a Swedish university. The scholarships cover tuition fees for master's degree programmes and cost of living expenses.

Applicants that are not citizens of countries in the European Union, European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or Switzerland are required to pay tuition for university studies in Sweden.

SI has offered scholarships to a total of 700 foreign students offered scholarship for the 2014/201 academic year. Umeå University has 57 students that were awarded scholarships, 44 of which are new students and 13 that have had their scholarships renewed.

All receipients have been informed via e-mail. The deadline to accept a scholarship offer is Wednesday 30 April.

Complete lists of all scholarship receipients can be found at studyinsweden.se. Individual names are not published, but country of origin, application number, master' degree and programme code can be seen.
